SENIOR PYTHON DEVELOPER

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The company is a global company, leader in market research, which develops their own software products. They are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join their rapidly growing global workforce in Sofia, Bulgaria. You will write applications from scratch and many are still in production to the delight of their users. You will monitor an overall picture of current and future developments and risks and you will provide solutions to problems across your functional areas. The newcomer will be part of one of the company’s key products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle;

  • Help to create software that is scalable, testable, maintainable and of high quality;

  • Work closely with Data Science teams to ensure adherence to standards and code quality;

  • Actively troubleshoot and resolve issues;

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of experience as Python Developer;

  • Strong knowledge in Python;

  • Strong experience with database, both SQL and NoSQL;

  • Strong knowledge of micro-service-based architectures including orchestration and containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Hashicorp Nomad or similar);

  • Strong knowledge of building data pipelines;

  • Prior experience with Dask, Apache Spark, or similar frameworks;

  • Fluency in English- both written and spoken.
